It is very easy. You only have to remove some flatcable connectors and add our board to it. The board is designed to fit in an open space inside the DTA2000. No soldering required! The connection to the PC is made via a DB9 connector which you can mounted on the backpanel.

A simple 386 with 1Mb memory and at least DOS 4.0 will do. When there is enough interest the program can be ported to the Windows environment. At the moment most of our customers use the system with a simple PC dedicated to only running the DTA2000 control program.
Yes, but the control program can disable the DTA2000 keyboard. The time will be shown on the display of the DTA2000.

A RS232 interface running on 9600 baud is used. We use a DB9 connector. The RS232 interface is optically isolated up to 1500Vrms, this prevents any kind of interference between the DTA2000 and the PC.
No, the output is transmitted through the RS232 interface to the PC. The PC will store the output into a diskfile.
It depends on the type of machine. For a 2 head machine you have to connect a 10 wire flatcable and 15 wires from another flatcable. A 4 head machine will have an extra 10 wire flatcable. On most machines there is a testconnector available which can be used for connecting the 10 wire flatcable. The 15 wire cable has to be connected to the Errorprocessor chip (6 wires for a 2 head machine, 9 wires to a 4 head machine) and to the powersupply (5Volt and Ground).
